'… I see how extremely religious you are in every way. For as I went through the city and looked carefully at the objects of your worship, I found among them an altar with the inscription "To an unknown god." What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.' (v. 22b-23)

Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. There he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife, Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome … Every Sabbath (Paul) would argue in the synagogue and would try to convince Jews and Greeks. (vs. 1-2, 4)

(Paul) entered the synagogue and for three months spoke out boldly, and argued persuasively about the kingdom of God. When some stubbornly refused to believe and spoke evil of the Way before the congregation, he left them, taking the disciples with him, and argued daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia, both Jews and Gentiles, heard the word of the Lord. (vs. 8-10)

And now, as a captive to the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there … but I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace. (vs. 22, 24)

And now I commend you to God and to the message of his grace, a message that is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all who are sanctified. (v. 32)

'And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you for ever.' (v. 16)

and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. (Psalm 40:2)

... by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses. (v. 39)

'Friends, why are you doing this? We are mortals just like you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.' (v. 15)

While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven. (v. 51)

A certain woman named Lydia, a worshipper of God, was listening to us; she was from the city of Thyatira and a dealer in purple cloth. The Lord opened her heart to listen eagerly to what was said by Paul. (v. 14)

They answered, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.’ (v. 31)
