The day was drawing to a close, and the twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside, to lodge and get provisions; for we are here in a deserted place.” But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” (vs 12-13)
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “The Messiah of God.” (v. 20)
A cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were terrified as they entered the cloud. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!” (vs 34-35)
"Teacher, I beg you to look at my son." (v. 38)
… he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it. (v. 33)
" Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me ." (v. 38)
"Yet know this: the Kingdom of God has come near." (v. 11)
"Rejoice that your names are written in heaven." (v. 20)
But wanting to justify himself he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbour?" (v. 29)
"Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her." (v. 42)
He set his face to go to Jerusalem. (v. 51)
And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (v. 41)
