Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. (v. 5)

And all of you must clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for 'God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' (v. 5)

You must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. (vs 5-7)

Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.' (v. 24)

By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (v. 3)

Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual love, love one another deeply from the heart. (v. 22)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. (v. 9)

He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. (v. 24)

And he shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall live secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. (v. 4)

Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. (v. 8)

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, 'Who do people say the Son of Man is?' (v. 13)

'I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit.' (vs 1-2)
