Here's what we heard — July 2026

July was very quiet. One response came through our standing question, "Tell us about digital and the Methodist Church", which takes us to 127 in total since we opened it in May.

We would rather say that plainly than dress it up. July is a quiet month across the Connexion, with Conference just finished and the holidays on us. We read everything that comes in, and a quiet month changes nothing about that.

What we have done

We published "What you told us", the fifth episode of our podcast Connected. It is our account of what people across the Connexion said during the listening phase, and what we are doing about it. If you wrote in earlier this year, this is where your words landed. Listen to it at this link.

We closed the first phase of listening. Seventeen of the twenty-three districts had a conversation at Chair level, and the full record of everything we heard is now public. It is set out by role rather than by name, and it is shaping the programme now. Read the listening report.

The question stays open

If you have something to say about digital and the Methodist Church, the question is always open.

The Digital Transformation Programme reads every response and publishes a "Here's what we heard" post at the end of every month.
