Woe is me! For I have become like one who, after the summer fruit has been gathered, after the vintage has been gleaned, finds no cluster to eat; there is no first-ripe fig for which I hunger. (v. 1)

“I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!" (v. 49)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. (v. 7)
