"I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them; I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh." (v. 19)

While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, "This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!" (v. 5)

"But," he said, "you cannot see my face; for no one shall see me and live." (v. 20)

And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of sheer silence. (v. 12)

"Beware of practising your piety before others in order to be seen by them; for then you have no reward from your Father in heaven." (v. 1)

When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them; and he did not do it. (v. 10)

And the Lord said, "Is it right for you to be angry?" (v. 4)

Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? (v. 6)

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (v. 1)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation. (v. 3)

I do not mean to imply that we lord it over your faith; rather, we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in the faith. (v. 24)

My joy would be the joy of all of you. (v. 3)
