Whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. (v. 11)

But rejoice in so far as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, so that you may also be glad and shout for joy when his glory is revealed. (v. 13)

I have written this short letter to encourage you, and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it. (v. 12)

For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. (vs 5-7)
