Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their resources. (v. 3)

'... As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.’ When he had said this, he spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva and spread the mud on the man’s eyes, saying to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam’ (which means Sent). Then he went and washed and came back able to see. (vs. 5-7)

'Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?’ His parents answered, ‘We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; but we do not know how it is that now he sees, nor do we know who opened his eyes. Ask him; he is of age. He will speak for himself.’ (vs. 19-21)

But Jesus answered, ‘You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?’ They said to him, ‘We are able.’ He said to them, ‘You will indeed drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left, this is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.’ (vs. 22-23)

'As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit.' (v. 23)

'Anyone who resolves to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.' (v. 17)

Jesus then said, ‘I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me. You will search for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.' (vs. 33-34)

'Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, “Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.”’ Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive. (vs. 37-39)

And Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on do not sin again.’ (v. 11)

'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.' (v. 12)

So Jesus said, ‘When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realise that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak these things as the Father instructed me.’ (v. 28)

'Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.' (v. 29)
