Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. (vs 1-2)

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (v. 8)

'Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s and to God the things that are God’s.' (v. 21)

'This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.' (v. 10)

How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God! (v. 14)

He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance. (v. 15)

And it is by God’s will that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (v. 10)

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. (v 14)

'I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.' (v. 17)

'...everything is ready; come to the wedding banquet.’ (v. 4)

Since, then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God. (v. 14)

Every high priest chosen from among mortals is put in charge of things pertaining to God on their behalf. (v. 1)
