"Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph ... Therefore they set taskmasters over them to oppress them with forced labour." (v.8, 11)

"When the child grew up, she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and she took him as her son. She named him Moses, 'because', she said, 'I drew him out of the water.'" (v.10)

"'I am God, the God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph's own hand will close your eyes'." (v.3-4)
