No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father. (vs 23-24)

'...therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God.' (v. 35b)

‘… I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord.' (1 Samuel 1:15b)

‘… Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.’ (v. 10b)

Lo, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. (v. 5)

Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke this prophecy (v. 67)

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. (v. 7)

But they covered their ears, and with a loud shout all rushed together against him (v. 57)

“I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord” (v, 23)

'In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.' (v. 3)

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end. (v. 22)

But the LORD is a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. (v. 16)
