Bible Month 2024 - Genesis: God's invitation to partnership
For Bible Month 2024, we turn our attention to the Book of Genesis.
We have produced a starter list of hymns, mainly (but not exclusively) from Singing the Faith and StF+, which we hope you will find helpful.
Our suggestions support the four themes drawn from Genesis by Dr Debra Reid in the A Month with the Book of Genesis resource, together with some hymns and suggestions that will help put the stories of Genesis into context.
These include making connections with the Book of Revelation, which was the subject of Bible Month 2023.
Introduction – An invitation to the book of Genesis
Week 1 – The Sovereign God who creates (Adam and Eve)
Week 2 – The God who calls and blesses (Abraham and Sarah)
Week 3 – The God who comes to people in their struggle (Jacob)
Week 4 – The God who confirms and safeguards promises (Joseph)
