Prayer for the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Our Father in Heaven,

Thank-you that everyone of us has a value and dignity that comes directly from Your creation, in Your own image and likeness. We acknowledge that modern slavery and all forms of exploitation are an affront to Your will, and rob those experiencing exploitation of so much.

We pray that you bring an end to modern slavery: our greed and selfishness for cheaper products and services will stop fuelling the demand for more and more exploitation; those perpetrating modern slavery will cease; and those experiencing exploitation will be set free, know true healing and rebuild flourishing lives of freedom, independence and fulfilment.

Help us to all play our part with You to declare freedom for the captives and walk alongside those who have been exploited to heal and thrive.

Amen
