Wondering if you’re called to be… a chaplain?

Read these words and look at the image below as you ponder the questions

You can find chaplains – lay or ordained – in schools, universities, shopping centres, airports, among farmers and in many other places where people live, study and work.

As a chaplain, you bring the gospel of Christ to where people are, so that it is heard in the wider world. In this, you mirror Christ’s own incarnational ministry.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word  was with God, and the Word was God. He was  in the beginning with God… And the Word  became flesh and lived among us.” John 1:1-2, 14 (NRSV)

  • Which communities of people do you feel a particular call to live among?
  • What do you learn about Jesus’ character from his ministry alongside people?
