Peace Garden opens at Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum

A Peace Garden has been officially opened at Englesea Brook, in Cheshire, providing a tranquil space for reflection and contemplation. The garden, which has been two years in the making, represents a collaboration between Englesea Brook, the Fellowship of Reconciliation and nearby Western Village Primary School.

Edwin: Pharmacist, steward and the Bible

Edwin is a pharmacist. He was born into Methodism and his grandfather was a reverend minister in Ghana. Edwin now works for the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association, looking at global policies relating to health inequalities in low- and middle-income countries. Since the 1990s, Edwin has been a part-time DJ, and he is also a steward at Castle Street Methodist and a member of the church council.

Charles: language, heritage and reparations

Charles Forsdick is Professor of French, and Co-Chair of the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. Charles is also a member of the Methodist Heritage Committee and chairs the Archives and Records Advisory Group for the Church. He is also one of those working to co-ordinate how the Church should consider reparations for slavery.
