So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made statutes and ordinances for them at Shechem. (v. 25)

“There is nothing outside a person that by going in can defile, but the things that come out are what defile.” (v. 15)

So they went and entered the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and spent the night there. (v. 2)

While all Israel were crossing over on dry ground, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, until the entire nation finished crossing over the Jordan. (v. 17)

'These stones shall be to the Israelites a memorial forever.' (v. 7)

When the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, 'Shout! For the Lord has given you the city. (v. 16)

When many of his disciples heard it, they said, ‘This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?’ But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, ‘Does this offend you?Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?' (vs 60-62)

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority. (vs 8-10)

'But not so with you; rather the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like one who serves.' (v. 26)

Therefore do not let anyone condemn you in matters of food and drink or of observing festivals, new moons, or sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. (vs 16-17)
