A prayer that our lives may sing of God's faithfulness

Lord of all creation, you have written our story with hands of grace.
Every chapter filled with mercy. Every verse a melody of love.
May our lives sing of your faithfulness.
Let our story be a testament of your goodness
and our song a sweet offering before your throne.
You weave sorrow in strands of gold, turning burdens into blessings unseen.
Teach us to sing through every season,
to trust when the road is steep,
to know that your goodness is the chorus that carries us home.

You, O Lord, are our keeper,
our composer, our strength, our song.
To you be all the glory, forever and ever.

A Prayer for Women Against Violence Sunday

Loving and merciful God,

We come before You with heavy hearts, carrying the pain of countless women and girls who have suffered in silence and in fear.

You see their tears, hear their cries, and know their wounds - both visible and hidden.

We pray for healing, Lord - for those whose bodies have been harmed,
whose spirits have been broken,
whose voices have been silenced.

Wrap them in Your love and restore their strength.

Let them know they are not alone, not forgotten, and never to blame.

We pray for justice - for the courage of survivors to speak,
for wisdom and compassion in those who listen,
for accountability for those who harm,
and for systems that protect rather than neglect.

We pray for transformation - that hearts hardened by anger or ignorance
be softened with understanding and grace.

Change the culture that normalises control and cruelty.

Teach us to honour one another with respect, to raise boys and girls in the light of equality and kindness.

O God of peace, make us instruments of Your peace.

Where there is fear, let us bring safety.
Where there is silence, let us speak truth.
Where there is despair, let us bring hope.

May every woman and girl live free from violence, free to dream, to grow, and to flourish in the dignity and love that You intend for all Your children.

Amen.

A Prayer for an End to Violence Against Women and Girls

Merciful God,

We lift before You all women and girls who suffer from violence,
those whose bodies and spirits have been wounded,
and those who live in fear, silence, or shame.

Surround them with Your healing love,
and give them courage to reclaim their lives.

We pray for justice and compassion - that hearts may turn from cruelty to kindness,
and that leaders, communities, and families will stand together to protect the vulnerable.

Teach us to speak out against abuse, to comfort those in pain, and to build a world where every woman and girl can live in safety, dignity, and peace.

Through Your grace, may love triumph over violence, and hope rise stronger than fear.

Amen.

A prayer that we might be God's forever - Alternative Prayer

God of love, awaken our souls. God of power, protect us in temptation. God of forgiveness, cleanse us by the blood of Christ. God of saints, let us share in their inheritance. God of rest, let us be yours for ever. Amen.
