Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” (v. 14)

"Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.” (v. 38)

Then someone came to him and said, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” (v. 16)

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astounded and said, “Then who can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” (vs 25-26)

Then Peter said in reply, “Look, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?" (v. 27)

"Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (vs 15-16)

"See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death." (v. 18)

"But whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your slave." (vs 26b-27)

When some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts dedicated to God, he said, “As for these things that you see, the days will come when not one stone will be left upon another; all will be thrown down.” (vs 5-6)

For what other great nation has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is whenever we call to him? And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just as this entire law that I am setting before you today? (vs 7-8)

So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. (v. 39)

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (vs 4-5)
