Whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ. (v. 11)

But rejoice in so far as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, so that you may also be glad and shout for joy when his glory is revealed. (v. 13)

I have written this short letter to encourage you, and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it. (v. 12)

For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love. (vs 5-7)

Then Peter came and said to him, "Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?" Jesus said to him, "Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times." (vs 21-22)

Therefore I intend to keep on reminding you of these things, though you know them already and are established in the truth that has come to you. (v. 12)

For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of his majesty. (v. 16)

You will do well to be attentive to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. (v. 19)

In the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and indulging their own lusts and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming?" (vs 3-4)

What sort of people ought you to be in leading lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God? (vs 11-12)

You therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, beware that you are not carried away with the error of the lawless and lose your own stability. (v. 17)
