He said to them, "Come and see." (v. 39)

His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." (v. 5)

"You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that testify on my behalf. Yet you refuse to come to me to have life." (vs 39-40)

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword." (v. 34)
