The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy? (v. 8)

Seek good and not evil, that you may live. (v. 14)

And the Lord said to me, "Amos, what do you see?" (v. 8)

"The time is surely coming," says the Lord God, "when I will send a famine on the land; not a famine of bread, or a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord." (v. 11)

"On that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen." (v. 11)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (v. 19)

The Lord appeared to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the entrance of his tent in the heat of the day. (v. 1)

"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come." (v. 13)
