All Christians are called to carry on Christ’s ministry by serving both in the Church and in the world.
Through the Holy Spirit, God gives each person spiritual gifts to help the whole Church grow in faith and to support its mission to the world. These gifts are named in Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12–13 and include things like administration, speaking in and interpreting tongues, healing, teaching (within a church) and prophecy.
Every member of the church has the privilege and responsibility of direct access to God, so all are called to help others come to know God personally and to pray for everyone.
