When? 2nd Sunday in September
The date of Education Sunday coincides with the start of the school year in September (England/Wales).
Education Sunday 2025 will be on 14 September. Churches have been supporting education through an annual act of prayer and worship for over 100 years. The materials are prepared by an ecumenical steering committee and based around the Revised Common Lectionary. This year's theme is 'Lost and Found'.
Education Sunday materials can be found on the Churches Together in England website. They include sermon notes and all-age worship suggestions.
