“Welcoming single people in our churches”
How can your church respond to the Methodist Report on Singleness? Join us to discover simple and practical ideas to help you welcome and value single people at every stage of life.

40% of UK adults are single, but they can feel isolated and even invisible in church. Last year the Methodist Conference heard how there is "much still to do” to ensure single people and their contributions to church life are welcomed, affirmed and celebrated.

Single Friendly Church Network is here to help your church respond in a few simple steps.

In this Fringe Event we will discuss:

  • What "single” means
  • How to adapt church language so that everyone feels valued
  • How to welcome and include people who come on their own
  • Including single people in leadership - why and how

Single Friendly Church Network is a charity providing free resources and training so that all churches can be welcoming communities where everyone can flourish. Find out more about our work at www.singlefriendlychurch.com

Catering:

We will provide some cold drinks and snacks for participants. Please bring your lunch with you to eat with us as you engage in our workshop. We just ask that you return any plates from the catering facilities.

Please let us know: We do not require you to register for this event but so we buy enough drinks and snacks, please do email us on liz@singlefriendlychurch.com if you are intending on being there.
