Karibuni has been supporting children from the slums in Kenya for over 30 years, by enabling them to go to school, have good nutrition and school uniforms and shoes. They are supported throughout their education and many now have degrees, certificates or Vocational qualifications and several are now helping to support their families or helping in the projects they were in as children.
Last year we also started to support the mothers, most of whom only reached primary education themselves. They are learning about finance and business, and enabled to start small businesses like dressmaking and beauty care in order to become independent.
