The Communications Team is here to help the Church communicate well so that it can fulful its Calling.

Director of Communications
Jillian oversees the work of the Digital and Media teams. She supports the work of the Safeguarding, Evangelism and Growth and Learning and Development teams and attends Methodist Council meetings.
Jillian was trained as a radio journalist by the BBC and worked for the Corporation for over 20 years in radio and TV. She left the BBC to work in the Church of England’s communications office as a broadcast specialist and then moved to Oxfam’s media office.
She has a particular interest in training and equipping people and church congregations with skills to tell stories and communicate the work they’re doing with outside audiences.
Lead Media Officer
Mike supports the Global Relationships and the Evangelism and Growth teams within the Connexional team. He is also the producer of The Methodist Podcast and the Week Ahead e-newsletter.
Prior to working for the Methodist Church, he was head of media at the military charity SSAFA supporting the families of injured service personnel and those killed in service. He was also the media lead for Kent Police specialising in families and media liaison.
He began his career in radio, working on programmes including Something Understood, Pause for Thought and The Chart Show.
Lead Media Officer
Anna supports the work of the Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT), and in other areas including Property, Heritage and Education.
Anna has worked as a communications specialist in a number of faith settings including for the Church of England and the Church Commissioners nationally, at a diocesan level and for a cathedral.
She has written for faith publications including the Church Times and the Methodist Recorder and has a background in law having qualified as a solicitor.
Digital Content Manager
Dave oversees digital platforms and content for the Connexional Team, including the Methodist Church website and others, The Methodist Church app, social media, email newsletters, video and audio.
Dave started working in website development in the 1990's and also has experience in feature writing and film and video production.
Digital Content Officer
Oli is involved in developing the website and social media of the Methodist Church in Britain, as well as producing videos and content to help resources the church.
He has a MA in Scriptwriting and is always looking for ways to bring storytelling into his work and the wider church.
Digital Communications Enabler
Elliot is the Digital Communications Enabler for Yorkshire North and East Methodist District, but also has a remit of 1 day a week in his role with the Communications Team assisting with various projects
