You get to partner with God
God is at work in the world, bringing healing, hope, and restoration. We’re invited to take part in that mission—to share the work and to share the good news. This week, we’ll reflect on what it means to partner with God in everyday life: through friendship, action, honesty, and joy.
Sharing faith doesn’t mean having all the answers or knowing everything about God. It’s about passing on what we’ve received in a real, human way: telling our story, showing kindness, listening well, offering encouragement, or acting in love. It’s about letting others see glimpses of God in the way we live and the way we care. When we share in this way, we make space for others to encounter God for themselves.
Mini-adventures
Pick one of these challenges to try out this week. As you do it, pay attention to the ways in which God might show up.
- Share something of your experience on this journey so far – maybe in a conversation, on social media, or in a journal entry you could show a trusted friend
- Think about one person who has encouraged you in life or faith. Write them a short note of thanks (or tell them in person)
Get talking
Jesus described himself as the light of the world and encouraged people to follow him to move from darkness to the light.
John 12:44-50 – Jesus, Light of the World
- What do you think Jesus meant when he called himself “the light of the world”?
- Where do you see cruelty and sadness in the world today - and how might God’s light shine there?
- In what ways can our lives reflect Jesus’ light to others?
- How might God be inviting you to respond to this passage?
Get inspired
- What do you notice in this artwork?
- How does it make you feel?
Get Deeper
This week we are exploring sharing our faith. God blesses us in countless ways, through love, hope, kindness, and the everyday gifts we often take for granted. As Christians, we’re invited to pass these blessings on, sharing them with others through our words, our actions, and the care we show. When we do, goodness spreads, lives are lifted, and people catch glimpses of God at work. This overflowing gift, given freely to us and shared with the world, is what Christians call grace.
- Grace is a gift we don’t deserve. Does anything make it hard for you to accept undeserved love from God or others?
- God loves and likes you. How does this change the way you see yourself or your confidence in daily life?
- Grace is for everyone, even people who are hard to love. How might thinking about grace change your next interaction with someone difficult?
Prayer
Loving God,
You are the Father who runs to meet us,
the Mother who embraces us with open arms.
Thank you for your boundless love and forgiveness,
even when we wander far from you.
Holy Spirit, guide us home.
Help us to return to you with open hearts,
and to celebrate when others do the same.
Teach us to love without judgment,
to forgive as we have been forgiven,
and to welcome all into your grace.
May we reflect your mercy in our lives,
and share the joy of your reign with everyone we meet.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
