On The Way

Begin, refresh, or reconstruct your journey with God

On The Way

On The Way is a short course for people who want space to explore Christian faith, connect it with everyday life, and ask honest questions together

Rooted in A Methodist Way of Life, On The Way offers a gentle but thoughtful journey through some of the big ideas, practices and questions of faith. It is designed to be welcoming, flexible and adaptable for a wide range of settings.

On The Way helps people explore Christian faith as something lived and practised, not just believed.

Each session invites participants to:

  • reflect on experience and everyday life
  • engage with scripture, art, music and prayer
  • explore core ideas of Christian faith in an open way
  • share insights, questions and stories with others

Pilot participants valued the mix of learning styles and the opportunity for honest conversation.

Whatever stage you are at in your spiritual journey, this course will make you think more deeply and with more focus about living your faith.

Who is On The Way for?

  • people exploring faith for the first time
  • those wanting a gentle refresher or new perspective
  • churches preparing people for membership
  • chaplaincies and community contexts

It doesn’t assume a large knowledge of Christianity. The discussions depend on who is in your group – and you learn from each other.

What’s included?

  • short films to support group leaders
  • a participant journal, with space to reflect and explore further
  • mini‑adventures to try between sessions
  • prayers, questions and creative resources
  • guidance for leaders on shaping sessions for their context

Participants appreciated being able to continue reflecting at home, especially when sessions were full or time was limited.
