We're looking for personal stories about Methodism at work in communities at Christmas time.
You might be thinking, it's the middle of summer, and an extremely warm one at that – so, why are we talking about Christmas? Each year, our planning for Christmas resources, films and outreach begins as early as January. Summer is usually the period when we are hard at work producing things ready for the autumn.
Did you know that last year our Christmas film and content reached over 1 million people?
This year, we're looking to produce a set of films focussing on stories of Methodist's living out their faith through local mission. Perhaps you know someone who fits this description?
Maybe they are running a warm space, providing for the local community, running a Christmas event, or helping those nearby. If you know of a story we'd love to hear from you.
What's this for?
We're producing a short film highlighting the real lives and activities of Methodist's living out their way of life in unique and intriguing ways, ready for Christmas 2026. This film will dig into each person's story, their testimony and how their experiences have led them to where they are now.
Is this you or someone you know?
The people we film will need to be willing to share their personal testimony, talk on camera and be filmed in various activities and locations (where they are) for a day in October (tbc). They need to be active members of a local Methodist Church or New Places for New People project.
If you know of someone who could be right for this project, please email Ben Lawrence, our Digital Content Producer: LawrenceB@methodistchurch.org.uk
