One of our objectives in the Community Health and Hygiene log-frame is to ensure girls under 18 and newborns are registered. These may prove to be difficult targets yet it is possible to reach them. There are still far too many adolescent mothers in this land. Recently I visited several rural areas with staff from one of our partner organisations. One of the areas was a hospital which has outlying maternity clinics attached. I was saddened by so many under 18's who had just given birth, some for the first and a few for the second time.
