A checklist of everything a group leader needs to do before attending 3Generate
Tickets
Book your groups’ tickets – remember you do not have to know exactly who is coming to begin your booking, you can add children’s and leader’s details later.
Pay for your tickets once your booking has been confirmed – you will receive an email once we have confirmed your booking.
Add details of leaders and children on EventsAir – ensure you have shared all accessibility and dietary information before 12th September
Safer Recruitment
Ensure all of your leaders have a valid DBS (from the last 5 years if from a Methodist organisation, or 2 years if external). If your group is staying overnight, this must contain a Child’s Barred List check
Ensure all of your leaders have completed Foundation Safeguarding Training in the last 4 years.
Ensure at least one leader (usually your Group Co-ordinator) has completed Advanced Safeguarding Training in the last 4 years.
Complete the Group Verification Form with all of these details, and email to 3genverificationforms@methodistchurch.org.uk before 12th September
If you require assistance with completing Safeguarding Training, please contact KennedyC@methodistchurch.org.uk
Preparing for 3Generate
Attend a Leaders Connect session to find out more about this year’s 3Generate. Details of these events will be shared as soon as we are able.
Attend an Accessibility Drop-in if required. This will give you an opportunity to find out more about accessibility support we offer before and during 3Generate. You can also contact our accessibility lead Faith Spinks (faith.spinks@growinghope.org.uk) with any questions about accessibility support.
Spread the word in your church community! Try to get as many people involved as possible, either as participants, group leaders or volunteers.
Preparing your group
Complete the pre-3Generate youth group session. This will introduce your group to our chosen Bible verse for the weekend and our theme for 3Generate 2026. Details of this will be shared closer to the event.
