As the Methodist Church, we are seeking out ways to meet new people, build relationships and hold safe space for people to explore faith in creative, spiritual and conversational ways. We want to be a Church that joins in the celebration and shares the good news!
This resource is designed to help a broad church take part in Carnivals near them. We understand that each Carnival looks different, and different churches will want to engage in different ways. We have therefore included stories and wisdom from multiple contexts already engaging creatively and joyfully with Carnival.
Carnival and Church have always had overlapping missions: to affirm people’s humanity and bring communities together.
