Could you join us as a volunteer at one of the many festivals and events we attend across the United Kingdom?
The Connexion is seeking out opportunities for the Methodist Church to be present as a national team at major events across the country and we would love people from across the country to join us on our various outreach teams. We are committed to developing inclusive teams and ensuring there is a space and a role for anyone and everyone, so whoever you are, you are welcome. Volunteering at festivals and events includes:
- Engaging with members of the public or event attendees, and speaking confidently, openly and authentically (never judgmentally) about meaningful topics, including their faith.
- Offering hospitality and a warm welcome to people who engage with us at events, as well as being attentive to the space we’re in, making sure it is inviting and safe.
- Noticing God and joining in with the fun, whether that’s rolling content, interactive activities and programmed content.

This will be our third year at the Silverstone GP hosting an inter-faith prayer space as well as a wellbeing space, inviting the public to pause for a pitstop with us.
Cliff Fest
Cliff Festival is an annual gathering at Cliff College in Derbyshire, the festival is full of spirit-filled worship, Bible teaching and activities for people and families of all ages.
Flourish
We are delighted to be back at Flourish, a diverse all-age festival of inspiration, celebration, worship and renewal ran by our friends in the Yorkshire NE District.
Kendal Mountain Festival
2025 was our first year at Kendal Mountain Festival hosting our own venue 'The Pilgrim's Refuge', a space for rest, reflection and renewal.
Cardiff Pride
This will be our first year heading to Cardiff Pride. A space to celebrate equality, diversity and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Durham Miners Gala
This will be our first year heading to Durham Miners Gala 'the world's greatest celebration of community, international solidarity, and working class life'.
Comic Con
This year we will be returning to Comic Con, the UK’s biggest pop-culture event, with our wonderful Faith & Geekery friends.
Cheltenham Literature Festival
In 2026 we'll be returning to Cheltenham Literature Festival with our venue 'The Hush'.
