What is Church at the Margins all about?

Is God calling you to begin new Christian communities amongst people who are struggling financially or living in poverty?

Church at the Margins is a core specialised priority stream of New Places for New People, receiving 60% of Connexional funding for districts and circuits.

Church is a community of people being transformed by the gospel, learning to live like Jesus, and making disciples.

At the margins means being alongside people, not doing things to or for them. It’s about mutuality, dignity, and shared leadership.

Safeguarding

The Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture. Safeguarding is a core integral part within NPNP. NPNPs and CaM communities will be varied in their approach and contexts, but the principles and practices of the Methodist Church safeguarding policy must be always followed
