3Generate: 4-7s Area

A bigger venue for 4-7s with new features: 3Gen on a smaller scale for our youngest participants.

We’re excited that 4-7 year olds will be welcomed back to 3Generate in 2025 with an even bigger venue just for them inside the wider event.

Children can join in with up to two significant adults, who could be parents, carers, grandparents or others known well to them. Together they can all explore ways to tune in to God, talk of faith and think about questions. Our hope is that children will understand they can meet with God when outdoors, making and creating, caring for other people, however they may be feeling. During the day we will be visiting a handful of the other venues at 3Generate and taking part in activities just with our group. It promises to be a fun, active and enjoyable day with Godly Play stories, worship and lots of conversations!

This year we will also be offering an area for those in the 4-7s to meet up with friends or family who are attending the main 3Generate event.

10 Reasons why 4-7s is a great day out:

  1. A wealth of different activities to explore faith and have fun
  2. Active, busy times as well as quieter, restful ones

4-7s Venue Guide

Makaton

Welcome to 3Generate 4-7s – Small and Mighty!

This guide helps you get the most from your time in the venue. During the day there will be lots of opportunities to tune in to God as we wonder ‘What is God Like?’

The 4-7s venue is a fabulous space with four different areas to explore awe and wonder in:

  • Play – Be active on the bouldering wall and soft play area. Take part in games galore!
  • Encounter & Worship – Meet with God in our All Together Time, in stories and in activities across the zone.
  • Chill – Unwind in our Sensory Space, wonder at the night sky in Stargazers and enjoy imaginative play.
  • Explore – Get creative through messy play, science activities and crafts as we discover more about what it means to be ‘Small and Mighty’.

There will be time to:

  • sing and dance with ISingPOP
  • listen to stories
  • join in with B Tales drama fun
  • meet furry friends in the brand-new Animal Enclosure space
  • dance at the silent disco
  • enjoy Forest Church activities

We’ll also be gathering for All Together Time, during which some areas and activities will close.

Exploring Faith in the 4-7s space

In all zones, we’re exploring the theme of what it means to be ‘Small and Mighty’ as we wonder ‘What is God like?’

Children and adults can wonder about faith together through:

  • play
  • exploring
  • creating
  • asking questions

We will:

  • worship
  • explore the Bible in creative ways
  • discover stories
  • talk with God

All wonderful opportunities to begin or go deeper in faith on the Journey of a Lifetime.

Every child will receive a spinner on arrival to help them take part and enjoy what’s on offer in the different zones.

Adults

In 4-7s, there are lots of opportunities to talk of God and faith, whether that’s:

  • in a worship time
  • up the climbing wall
  • doing science experiments
  • petting animals

We each encounter God in different ways and hope there will be plenty of moments sprinkled throughout the day where we notice God in awe and wonder. Our venue is a space for children and adults to reflect on spirituality and the question: ‘I wonder what God is like?’ Chat and ponder this wherever you are and whatever activity you’re doing together!

Spend the day being guided by your child and supporting them in the various activities. There is time to make friends with others – encourage this. We hope children will feel able to be independent, but you know your child best, so guide them in ways that will make them feel at ease and reassured.
