Director of Evangelism & Growth
Trey Hall leads the Evangelism and Growth team and guides the Methodist Church's vision and strategy for life-long discipleship, inclusive evangelism, growing churches, and starting new churches and Christian communities. Since 2000 he has served in diverse contexts in the UK and US as a Methodist minister, evangelist, pioneer, coach, and mission strategist.
Evangelism Team
Holly Adams
Director of Evangelism Development
Holly leads the Evangelism Development sub-team and supports the Methodist Church in its calling to evangelism, equipping Methodist people to notice and share the Good News of God through our lives, actions, and words – online and onsite, in local communities and wherever people gather. Holly has served the Methodist Church in this area since 2020, and previously worked regionally and then nationally in Church of England contexts doing mission enabling; in her spare time Holly has been a lay leader, preacher, evangelist and pioneer in her local church and community.
Bryn Lauder
Festival Events Coordinator
Bryn leads the work of the Methodist Church in building a national evangelistic witness at major events and festivals across Great Britain, as well as inspiring, equipping and supporting local churches to engage evangelistically in their contexts. Bryn previously worked as the campaigns manager for the JustMoney Movement and prior to that served as a local Children & Families worker in the South West Tyneside Circuit.
Cameron Lee-Hume
Evangelism Project Officer
Cameron works collaboratively across the Connexion to develop tools, resources and training to support congregations and individuals in authentic, intentional faith-sharing. Before joining the Connexional Team, he spent 3 years at All We Can, most recently as Churches and Events Manager. Prior to that he studied for degrees in Theology and Journalism, and spent a year with the Joint Public Issues Team.
Ali Johnson
Digital Evangelist
Ali helps churches and communities explore creative and innovative ways to share faith and build connection in digital spaces. Alongside this role, Ali works at Cliff College supporting mission and evangelism training, and previously served at SwanBank Church in Burslem, where he helped pioneer creative community engagement and digital ministry initiatives.
New Churches Team
Emma Richardson
Director of New Churches
Emma works collaboratively with the Evangelism and Growth team developing training pathways and resources that enable new church communities to flourish. With over 15 years’ experience in creating contextual expressions of church, Emma has guided leaders from initial vision to fully established congregations, with discipleship and evangelism at the heart of her work.
Matt Finch
Pioneering and Church Planting Officer
Matt collaborates on a Church-wide strategy for ‘new places for new people’, nurturing leaders and pathways that encourage experimentation, multiplication, and growth. Previously, he served as a Methodist Minister in the St Neots and Huntingdon Circuit, where he pioneered a café church, a contemplative community, and innovative approaches to children and family’s ministry.
Eunice Attwood
Church at the Margins Officer
Eunice is helping start a movement of new Christian communities led by people experiencing economic marginalisation. She brings over twenty years’ experience of ordained diaconal ministry from a variety of contexts, including theological education and city and town-centred ministry amongst marginalised and vulnerable communities, where she helped start and grow many fresh expressions of church.
Julian Bond
Mission Funding Officer
Julian is responsible for the New Places for New People and Church at the Margins funding programme, enabling NPNPs and CAMs to be funded and resourced around the Connexion. He has led Connexional mission funding for over ten years and previously ran the Christian Muslim Forum.
Growing Churches Team
David Goodall
Director of Growing Churches
David leads the Growing Churches Team as they support the spiritual, missional and numerical growth of existing Methodist Churches. Part of his role also supports Church Growth in the Methodist Church in Ireland. Since 2004 David has served as a Circuit Minister, University Chaplain, City Centre Pioneer Minister and District Mission Enabler & New Places for New People Lead, he has also served a number of Connexional committees and been a regular member of the Methodist Conference.
Emma Nash
Mission and Community Engagement Officer
Emma’s work is about equipping lay and ordained leaders to enable every church to grow: spiritually, missionally and numerically. She has spent the last 20 years helping to make church and faith more accessible for unaffiliated people as a volunteer, a lay employee and as an Accredited Evangelist within the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
Sarah Hulme
Rural Mission and Ministry Officer
Sarah works collaboratively with rural leaders to expand a confident and vibrant Christian presence in rural communities. She works ecumenically offering training with colleagues at the Arthur Rank Centre, and also as part of the Joint Public Issues Team to advocate for the complex social issues these diverse rural communities face. Her background includes teaching & ecumenical evangelism and rural pioneering work.
Joel Baldry
Young Adults Vocation and Placements (18-30) Development Officer
Joel is responsible for the design, rollout and management of the Young Adults Mission Placement Scheme, a crucial part of The Methodist Church's Young Adults strategy and mission to be a growing, inclusive, justice-seeking and evangelistic church. Previous to this role, Joel managed, for 7 years, a respected social justice charity in his home town of Gedling, Nottingham.
Stephen Skuce
Growing Churches Officer (Ireland)
Stephen leads the growth and church planting work in Irish Methodism and works alongside the British Evangelism and Growth team. His previous roles include as a circuit minister, university chaplain, mission partner in Sri Lanka, at Cliff College, and as a District Superintendent in Ireland.
Discipleship Team
Mel Beaven
Director of Discipleship
Mel leads the Discipleship Team - helping the People called Methodists to develop intentional and life-long discipleship. Mel is a Deacon and has served in circuit context, and as Methodist Tutor at The Queen’s Foundation.
Abi Jarvis
Discipleship and Faith Formation Officer (Adults)
Abi supports churches and Christian communities to thrive through a culture of discipleship and disciple-making, by encouraging a holistic approach to Christian life using the framework of A Methodist Way of Life. Previously Abi led the Evangelical Alliance’s Public Leadership programme, and worked in campaigning, public policy and prayer at International Justice Mission UK.
Andy Fishburne
Discipleship and Faith Formation Officer (Adults)
Andy helps people to grow deeper into their Christian faith through worship, learning, service and evangelism. He supports churches to become communities of discipleship. Andy was a Methodist minister in the Isle of Man, where he pioneered new forms of digital worship. Before candidating for ministry he taught Physics in high schools for twenty-one years, where he developed a love for using creative visual aids for teaching.
Meg Prowting
Discipleship and Faith Formation Officer (Young Adults)
Meg develops and facilitates projects, events and programmes for young adults (18-30), to enable them to grow in discipleship, participation and leadership. In particular, she leads the Youth Reps and Leadership Year programmes. She also encourages and supports churches to think about how they can engage with young adults in their community.
Lynne Norman
Discipleship and Faith Formation Officer (Youth)
Lynne has worked for the Connexional Team since 2010 and, in that time, has held a number of roles mostly related to youth ministry development. The purpose of her current role is to equip the Methodist Church for whole-life discipleship, with a particular focus on the second decade of life. Prior to working for the Methodist Church Lynne had a varied career in the third sector, including communications for a national organisation, volunteer management for a local charity and working with young community leaders.
Penny Fuller
Discipleship and Faith Formation Officer (0-11s)
Penny has worked for the Methodist Connexional Team for 20 years supporting Children and Youth Ministry. Her specialist experience is children’s ministry, spirituality and faith formation, the participation of children in the full life of the church and their discipleship journey. She has also held trustee roles for Godly Play and was the Moderator of Children’s Ministry Network (CTBI) - an ecumenical body for denominations, para-churches and organisations involved in strategic development of children’s ministry, holding this role for seven years.
Genesis Padgett
Methodist Youth President
Genesis is the Methodist Youth President, serving as a representative for all children and young people in the church. He works to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and encourages them to be actively involved in all aspects of church by participating in church events and activities to connect with as many young people as possible.

David Harmer
Administrator
David is one of the two administrators that supports the Evangelism and Growth team. He has over 35 years of administration experience, supporting diverse teams in different organisations. He has worked in the Connexional team for 10 years, 7 years of which has been working with the Evangelism and Growth Team.
Krystine Ampah
Administrator
Krystine provides support within the Mission Team, with a primary focus on supporting the Evangelism and Growth and Justice-Seeking Teams. She has a decade of experience as a Personal/Executive Assistant, Personal Trainer and Nutritional Advisor.
