Leaders of Worship
Love This Calling - Worship Leading
Worship is central to Christian living - without encounter with the living God, our faith is empty and irrational.
Worship is simply (but incredibly) about providing an opportunity for people to meet with God.
Methodist worship leaders share the privilege of leading worship.
Following training, they are appointed by their local church, working with local preachers and ministers to prepare and lead worship.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24, NRSV)
- Think about a time when you experienced the presence of God vividly in worship: what was it that made that time special?
- In what ways could you be involved in enabling people have an opportunity to meet with God?
If you are planning worship with a theme of calling and vocation, here are a list of hymns which might be helpful
