Pioneers are ordinary people, just like you, and no two pioneers are the same, but they all have a heart for connecting with those people who are not currently part of the church.
We invite you to explore whether you might be called to pioneer.
Common characteristics of a pioneer
- A self-starter- motivated to initiate new things.
- A visionary- someone with clear and compelling picture of what could be.
- A team builder- brings out the best in others and fosters collaboration.
- A Connector - brings people together and naturally builds meaningful relationships.
- An explorer - comfortable stepping into the unknown- adapts well and takes risks.
What pioneers do
- Works outside the church walls - building community with people in their everyday lives.
- Does 'everyday evangelism' - sharing faith naturally and authentically in everyday conversations.
- Starts new initiatives - rather than refining established ones.
- Creates new communities - where people of little or no faith can explore belonging, meaning and faith.
